I see that our Cabinet Member for Planning and Regeneration is moonlighting as a Police Constable in “Barkingside” ward.
An area of the borough that does NOT include Barkingside High Street, Barkingside Tube Station, Barkingside Recreation Ground, Barkingside Cemetery, Barkingside Garden of Rest, or for that matter the one thing that Barkingside is most known for – Barnados, but did for a while include a Notice Board with the name “Barkingside” on it only for the local population to complain and have it changed, at public expense, to Gants Hill!

PS who is this Solomon woman?

"I have lived with my family in Barkingside for over 35 years, so I know the area very well."

Did she do O' level Geography? :)

PPS
There is also no RSS feed from the news section - the bit that says "Stay connected" - or Local Events, although readers may be a tad confused about what local is?
